Introducing the “1 Minute Morceau” — #1 — “Spelling Goodness” , Daniel Russell, Search Research (Nov 26)

Good little video showing that Google can help you spell words, and interpret sounds-like fairly well. What is sav wah fare?

Also – that if you don’t want Google to make any changes or substitutions, put quotation marks around the word. Good to know.

Who’s Tracking Your Reading Habits? An E-Book Buyer’s Guide to Privacy, 2012 Edition, Electronic Frontier Foundation (Nov 29)

EFF’s E-reader Privacy Chart 2012 shows that the e-readers from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Koho, and Google Books collect a lot of data on their users – searches and reading – and will share it. Much more – see it all.
