Danny Sullivan reviews the Search Wars: Battle Of The Search Superpowers SearchDay (April 28). He marks the beginning of the current conflict of Yahoo, Google, and Microsoft as the December 23, 2002 when Yahoo announced it would buy Inktomi. Today it has dropped Google without loosing searchers. The future might be most like TV and Cable - a few very large players and some niche PBS-like search engines.
