Alternative search engine of the year Pandia (Nov 26)
Refers to Charles Knight at AltSearchEngines and his nominations for search-engine-of-the-year. Pandia describes the 10 nominees.
New to me:
AfterVote: Results from Google, Yahoo, and Live, along with Alexa ranking and a Digg count. Meta-search engine where you can also vote. Interesting.
KoolTorch: Seems to group results into kids, computers, shopping, arts, society, regional and others, displayed in circles like the old dial to a telephone. You browse by looking at the small thumbnails and descriptions.
