Tech Friendly Airlines

The Most and Least Wired Airlines and Airports by James A. Martin, PC World (Mar 17)

Some airlines are doing more to provide entertainment, e-mail connections, IM, and power outlets for laptops. PC World does a "roundup of the best U.S. and international airlines for business travelers and tech fans".

It's not a long list but Air Canada is it - "Air Canada offers many mobile browser tools, such as flight check-in and the ability to view the airline's full timetable. It's also one of the few airlines to let you use your cell phone as a boarding pass. Many of its seat-back screens offer free movies, TV programs, and music on demand".

Five US airports are commended for wi-fi service, but the best tip was to sit outside an airline membership lounge and tap into its wireless service (though there may be a fee).
