Northwest Ontario The Gateway to Northwestern Ontario History has photos, books, drawings and artifacts from libraries and museums. Many of the photos appear to be of Fort William, likely because Thunder Bay Public Library is one of the main sponsors of the project. A search for Sudbury brought up two photos, and one for Marie (as in Sault Ste Marie) brought up 6 false hits - mostly photos that were in some way connected to a Mary. There is a topical arrangement as well: logging, mining, elevators, railway, roads, shipping, and silver islet. Photos are listed in the right side panel. Also of interest are two books and a movie:
"The Lost Mother Mine" - a chapter from the historic book "The Eagle of Thunder Cape"
"The complete text of the historic book "From the New Klondike to the Manitou"
"The explosive demolition of Saskachewan Pool 6 Elevator: 2000-12-17 (Mpeg Movie 1.3 MB) "
