Sympatico: Bell Globemedia has bought

Sympatico: Bell Globemedia has bought Terra Networks minority stake in Sympatico. Initially Lycos was to have been a bigger provider of software and services to the Sympatico portal. This didn't work out. In fact Sympatico contracts with Google for search engine results rather than Lycos.

Fossils: Industry Canada announced the launch of the Joffre Bridge Fossil Exhibition at the University of Alberta Museums in Virtual Fossil Exhibition Shines Spotlight on Alberta's Rich Past (Sept 9, 2002).
