Web TV CanWeb TV in Hamilton plans to broadcast on the Web as an Internet-only TV station, commercials and all. They claim 8 1/2 hours of the programming day is Canadian and the rest is bought from Turner Broadcast Systems. Requires Windows Media 9 Series. Still begs the question - who, other than poor but Internet-connected students, will want to watch television on a computer?

Canada by Train: The National Library of Canada has mounted a web site about railways in Canada. There is a history - Ties that Bind, a Transcontinental Tour through advertising, and Tracking Time with information on the contribution of the railways to the economy and nation. It's nicely done. It says the site is intended for general audience but will probably be of most use to high school students.
